Default Fuse block

In trying to sort out my mess of wiring on my '71, I was looking at the schematic for the fuse block. It shows a 20A accessory post. Mine has the spot, but only the clip on one end for the fuse to snap in to. There is no clip for the other end of the fuse, nothing but a hole in the block where one could go. Was this an optional space for accessories my car may not have or is something missing? It is a switched 12V source with power in the key in run position. It would be perfect for wiring up my fuel pump if it is just an open space and I could find a clip for it.

Not surprising. Anyway, I would seek another location for your fuel pump main circuit like running a 12 or 10 (depending on pump size) to the (+) side of the solenoid or battery post (with a relay). To add 20 amps to the block with another circuit very well may excede the wire feeding it.

The pump I have only requires a 5amp fuse, so I was hoping to avoid running an inline if I didnt have to. I thought if it was a spare fuse location, hopefully it would have been taken into consideration when Ford wired it up. Oh well. On a side note, it is funny to look at this fuse block and see 6 fuses compared to how many are in my F150, my how times have changed.
