I dunno, I had a truck in primer for 2 years and it still looked great. Just a tip: Use mild dish soap with water to wash it. It was the best thing I found to pull dirt out of the surface.

I think the white stripes and paint would make it more obvious that you are purposefully going with the primer look, and not that you haven't gotten around to painting it. Your car looks mean.
