Bumper ID?
OK im trying to help someone figure out what bumper they have here's the info:
"I have a brand new bumper still in the wrapper with ID #'s but these old numbers don't seem to be valid anymore. I need to identify it so I can offer it for sale.
I have pictures but have no idea how to get them on this forum?
Any help or suggestion welcome. My husband is a retired (do they ever really?) car junky and I'm trying to help. "
"my husband remembers buying it for a friend's Maverick. Can't remember for sure if car then got wrecked, we lost touch with the friend when our circumstances forced a move from NY to Maine.
Bumper came along with everything else. "
She gave me the part number DZZ17757A ...which would mean:
D(there should be a number here)ZZ17757A
"D" = 1970s
"Z" = Mustang
"Z" = Ford Service Parts
"17757" = 17736-17999 = Bumper
"A" = "Suffix
Single letter indicates specific application. Increases alphabetically (A, B, C, etc.) for each minor revision (same prefix and basic part number) and then double letters (AA, AB, AC, etc.) when all single letters are used."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So can anyone tell me if this is a mustang bumper? I know its not a maverick one...

Thanks!
