Default How to remove the A pillar covers?

I'm repainting the interior of my 66 and am trying to figure out how to remove the A pillar covers. The top is secured by a single screw and bracket to cover the seam where the headliner meets the top of the pillar but I can't find out how to remove the bottom of the pillar cover so that I can pull it out and paint it.

It'll take a blowtorch. There are no covers. The A pillar is painted steel.

Either CJponyparts or mustangsplus has ABS plastic covers for the A-pillars... not original but looks cool. I think you can get them with or without guage pods. Paint to match and cover up the old stuff.
