Most of the welders now if you open the panel where the wire spool goes, has machine settings for the gas and metal thickness listed.

Sorry i had my brother typing those and hes an idiot sometimes. He was supposed to be saying co2 not oxygen.

its very plain and simple use the .035 or even .o45 bare wire, but it will need gas, other wise you can use flux core wire but the thicker wire you use the less heat will stay in the part , because the wire wire will use most of the arc or heat to melt, therefore no burn through, and use whats called trigger welding on body sheet metal, dont run beads

please dont use flux core for body work. the only time i used flux core was for welding in the seat platforms but if i had gas available i would have used it like the rest of the body!
