Default Paint Options - 1967 Fastback

In a couple weeks I plan to begin the tear down of my 1967 fastback for restoration. I have plenty of time to think before I'm ready for paint (months?) - but I can't help but consider the options now! The car is currently a rough black exterior with red interior. I have come across a few options online that I really like, and I wanted to get the forums opinion. I am leaning towards black ext/black interior - it isn't real flashy but a nice glossy black paint is just classy.

Anyway, let me know what you think. Racing stripes aren't necessarily a requirement but I believe I want to do a GT clone, including door stripe.

White stripes are not a necessarily a requirement, however I thought these looked great. Both long and short stripes are still being considered. My mustang has the same hood.

I took this from 1967fastbackmustang's ebay picture thread. I picture silver with metallic blue stripes.

What color is this? Anybody have any pictures of this on a 1967? A very nice color

Any other colors/paint schemes out there that are your favorites? I'm still researching so I am open to other options.

I like the black with the white short stripes. Maybe just on the hood?

I vote for no stripes. It seems that everyone wants them now and they take away from the car anyway. You don't have to have stripes to make it a GT clone.

Here are some GTs.

If your set on stripes do the short ones that start at the turnsignal louvers. I have seen this done with matte black stripes that are only on the hood. That looks cool.

Here is a pic.

Thanks for the input. The more I look at that last picture the more I like that blue. Only wish I knew what color it was.

Any other colors out there you guys find especially impressive that I perhaps haven't seen?

I do like the color of that last fastback.

My car was originally twilight turquoise. Its caspian blue now. I think its cool to have an original color even if its not original to the car.

Default Silver Bule Metallic

My 1966 coupé is silver blue metallic. I think it has a lot of potential. White stripes would be cool.
