Default What tires!!?

I'll try to keep this as short as possible. I got a set of 17"X18" split spoke 05+ mustang wheels. Going to use these wheels for money reasons (pretty much the cheapest 17" i could find, got 5 for total of $340 so they were a good deal). I plan on doing the cobra 13" disc brake conversion this summer at some point (hence the 17" wheels). I know I will need wheel spacers, I've already got that worked out. Now comes to tires. I KNOW I am going with 245's all around, so lets not argue about sizes. I have been looking online to get some ideas as far as what tires to get, and I came across these:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

Here is why I have been looking at these. 1) Good price 2) Look good 3)one of the few tires ive read about online that actually has positive reviews left for it 4) I live in santa cruz mainly, and sometimes i am forced to drive my car in the pouring rain on highway 17. So I require good wet traction. For those of you not familiar with highway 17, it is a windy, dangerous highway on which accidents occur pretty frequently. What do you guys think? Any better suggestions? Thanks

Get your Tires from OnlineTires.com they are a lot cheaper then anywhere else, the service is a little lacking but the price is great

I've had Sumitomos and they were good. I currently have Falkens on my 67 and they are good so far. I got the Falkens from www.discounttire.com

I run the Falken ZE-512s, but have been told the Falken ZE-912s are much better. My grandfather runs Kumho tires, but I want to say they filed for bankruptcy.

My advice is to not skimp on tires. I don't know much about the Continentals but I am using BFG KDW 2 tires and love them.

I love my Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's... Got great reviews on tirerack.com and normally firestone places will sell you 3, get the 4th free and throw in lifetime balancing/rotations...
The Indy 500 has great traction and ride and even the sidewall looks cool.

I have heard those KDW's have good dry performance, but don't last too long. Besides, some of the reviews say the wet traction could be better. I'll have to research those Indy 500's in the future to see if some other reviews pop up.
