If I am lucky I will buy a newer mustang and mod it some. However depending on how much I get for it and what cars are available I can get a 350z, civic, or Rx-8.

Rice, Rice, and Rice.

Haha I'm just kidding with ya. The 350z is nice and I think the Rx-8 is cool. My sister had a civic and it was a good little car.

Such a radical change from a mustang though.

I drive a civic as a DD and have a classic. It can work but I understand waiting till after college to get another project. Maybe you can get a fastback or convertible later.

Better check cost of ownership of those cars. I had a later 300z and parts were expensive.

I don't understand the reliability issues with the mustang, the cars are so basic there is little to go wrong and they're easy to fix. If you don't cut corners they'll run forever. Once you get into these more modern cars, depending on the age, you're going to have sensor after sensor start failing and unless you invest in the scan tools to diagnose the issue its going to cost you big. Although, I did have the laptop plugged into the car this am screwing with the transmission, so yea it can be fun.

And as far as MPG, a 6cyl mustang with the stock 4-lug can get pretty good MPG if tuned right. It's a bit late for that I guess.

Well I've replaced every drivetrain part except for the engine on this car. It only gets 13mpg thats before I tuned it for 93 octane after I rejetted the carb. When it was stock it got about 23, but was definitely a lot slower.

If you are only getting 13 mpg, I am going to suppose you have some tune issues, my 55 Lincoln gets closer to 20 than 13.

I think I'm going toward a Rx-8.

Flywheel ring gear should be here tomorrow, so Wednesday I can get to work on it.

Well my starter also failed the test and a new one was ordered. Hopefully this one will last longer than 4 days.
