Default Blinker Trouble

Well i thought i knew the solution to this problem but apparently not.
On my 73 mustang a week ago the blinker started to stop well blinking and finally it got to a point where it was completely solid.

So i did what i thought was the problem and replaced the turn signal flasher...

Well that didnt fix it and i am now stumped because the hazards still blink like they did before just a little louder with the new flasher, but i cant seem to get the left and right turn signals to flash.

Please help!!

Check that all of your bulbs are working. If memory serves me right it should be 5 a side for a 73 mach; 1 sport lamp, 1 front parking, 2 side markers and one tail light. But i am not certain about that number on the 73's. The bi-metal strip needs all the lights to work before it will heat up enough to operate.

There are two flashers one for the hazards and another for the turn signals. Did you change both of them or only one? If you only changed one and the sound of the emergency flashers changed then you should look for the other.

If you are certain you changed the turn signal flasher and all of your bulbs are working then check that the flasher you put in is rated for the number of bulbs on each side.

well i just checked the lights and all seem to be working and i changed the flasher behind the glove box, which affects the hazards only. Me and my dad must have spent 3hrs looking for a second flasher.... It would definitely help to have a wiring diagram but it seems no local parts stores carry for the car.

If anyone would know where to find the second flasher, not the one behind the glove box, that would be great. Don't say near the fuse box because there is nothing there.... I'm on a verge of taring the dash apart, someone save me

For the 70 it is behind the radio. Its been 10 years sense i messed with a 73 but i think its also behind the radio.

This is the closest i can find with google. It is just the simplified diagram and doesnt show the actual location on the car. What your looking for is a white w/pink and a light blue wires.

Found it!

Thinks for the wiring diagram, knowing the colors i was looking for really helped.. i would have never found it without that..

It was tucked up on this glove box panel which im guessing is for ground because it is solid metal
