Route 66 would be a fun one... We were thinking of doing the Power Tour or the anti-tour one of these years...

I like the look of it, and you don't see it that often, so it's a little more rare... Also. I wouldn't let the IL government ruin my drive through that state, even if a certain president came that came from there helped to make it all but illegal to own a firearm...

I talked to my wife about an hour ago. She is taking the wheels back to the shop, picking up a gas can of fresh fire juice and then hopefully, picking up my car! I don't know what time the glass guy is suppossed to be there to put in the winshield and back glass, so she may have to come back later, but she is going to at least start it while she is there and let is warm up... It hasn't been started for a few months so it needs an oil change soon (also still being broken in...) Hopefully today is the day, but I won't find out until tomorrow becuse I am 10 hours ahead and am about to go to bed. I'll post more pics as I get them.

Ok, well, the shop found a couple spots that needed to be buffed some more and they are still detailing the car. My wife didn't want to rush them, so tomorrow it is...
She has been really understanding and just as enthusiastic about the car as I have been. She likes to drive it too! And since we live in WA, she doesn't mind not having A/C most the time.

My wife still hasn't picked up the car... The battery was dead and the shop still has not put the badging on, though I think we may wait on the badging until we put the GT stipes and scoops on. The wheels make a world of difference though and the glass is all in. They hooked it up to a battery charger overnight, so she should be able to get it first thing in the morning...

Default All done!

It's all done, at least until I come home and put the trunk kit in, new taillights, center console and a few other small things. In a few months, we'll have the GT stripes put on, then put the GT badging back on. I can't wait to drive it. My wife is slowly putting miles on it now. I think it scares her to drive... Puts her in her seat and squeals the tires pretty easy.
