headers question

I also have JBA mid length headers. I think they are great.

I bought my tri-y's from Sacramento Mustang Parts, they were $229.95 shipped on eBay. They fit perfectly in my '66 and all the clutch linkage clears fine.

did any of you tri y people have to get the power steering adapter part to i think it raises somethin or lowers it? idk. my dad said what it did but i forgot >.> or cali mustang just puttin that there just like the "major modding" quote they have?

For shorties i would go with hipo manifolds. Take the manifolds to a machinest and have him polish the inside of them up and you have the benifits of headers with out the hastles of loose bolts and leaks.

Edit: i ment to quote the fella asking about shorty headers.

I don't have Tri-Y headers, but the power steering bracket lowers the power steering so that it will clear the lowered exhaust system. Not always necessary, but not a difficult or expensive mod, when it is required. I was told by a local restorer that the drop bracket isn't as strong as the original bracket in his opinion.
