A buddy of mine worked in the muffler business and I remember him telling me that Flows blow. I always thought that was funny but he said it was the truth. Their performance doesn't match their noise. He told me the best factory mufflers were the Corvair Turbo muffler and the Chrysler Hemi muffler. I still went with the Dynomaxes.

Well I was running an x-pipe so that in and of itself will sound different than with an h-pipe but it had a nice bark, think one of you V8 racers but not as loud. A nice heathly bark.

It depends if your talking about the Race Bullet, Ultraflow, or Super Turbo. The Race bullet is the loudest and the Super Turbo the quieter of the 3. The Bullets can crackle and pop etc. The Ultraflow and Super Turbo gargle more, but can crackle sometimes at higher RPM.

I have heard the same thing that Flows blow from several shops. They say they are populart because of the exagerated sound.

Yes, Flowmasters have the traditional sound a lot of people like, but they are highly restrictive.

Very few people who hear them side by side will choose the flowmasters. Too tinny. Magnaflows give more of a rumble.

Magnaflow and Flowmaster are not the same at all. Flows are chambered and Magnaflow is straight through. Straight through is better.
