Default Need help on 66 gt conv. purchase

Hey everyone,

I have been interested in purchasing a Green 66gt Convertible in the Atlanta, Georgia area. It was recently on Ebay. It appears to be a very nice car by the photos and video, but I have no way of checking it out since I live in Arkansas. One of my concerns is the fact that he had a buy it now of 28,000.00 on it, but the bidding only went up to 19,000.00. I have no way of contacting those bidders to see if any of them had actually looked at the car. By the looks of the photos and video, and by the description of the car, it should have went into the mid 20,000.00 range easily, especially since it is a GT. Something smells here. I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this car??? Here is the link...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

That 66 GT looks sweet! I would see if you can contact a local Mustang club to the area and see if someone would be willing to go check it out for you. If it was in my area, I woudl do it.

hey, its your money but from experience i would never buy another car that i had not inspected myself. thats a lot of coin to be even considering on a car without verification.

You could also ask them if you could come out and look at it. This is what I would most likely do, if I really wanted it. Since they haven't sold it on ebay and the auction ended, maybe you could just buy it from them.
