Kalli, consider Magnaflows. They're a straight-through design with fiberglass packing. A little quieter than the 40's, but no drone.

tx65coupe: would be great if you could make another vide, one idle, one in car, one driving off (heavy footed) and one passing ... and whatever else you can think off *g*
Thanks for anything that'll help

Tad: I'm really liking the 3000+ scream that they produce on the coupe in the first video. definitely an option those magnaflows

Actually the Dynomax Ultra is straight through with roving fiberglass packing. I don't know whe roving means though. Magnaflow has some type of stainless mesh packing. Both are stainless mufflers with a liftetime warranty.

I agree FM 40s are junk.

i think i'm going for the magnaflows. single maths. they're both 75$ at summit each.
shipping + handling is 120+25$, total being 300$. customs will want another 100$->400$ no matter which ones I buy.
can't get dynomax in europe only magnaflow. they want 140$ each. shipped from germany to ireland is probably 50$ (no customs, as inside EU)->330$ and I'll have them within the week .. PITA
magnaflow UK dealer wants 155$ each (ridiculous)

Together with tx65coupes videos mayeb it should be easier for others then :-)

Off eBay in hermany. Had two in stock. They just sent me an email that there's only one left. So if they have them back soon I'll stick with it if not I'll have to cancel. Will post store name when back home

Hey Kalli, I guess I'm a little too late in getting a video for you. The Magnaflows will be a great choice too. I'm sorry this one is kinda crappy. I really need ot get some better videos of my car. I forgot my camera Saturday when I went out for the my car club's cruise etc. I went back to the house and got the camera and shot this clip for you. Its a take off and a drive by so you can hear it under load. I really like it. For some reason my car started idling a little high again. Sigh.

thanks a million for that :-) car sounds very well. it's not too late yet, since I won't buy a single pot. i'll see. but if I end up, then at least we have a side by side comparison. i won't be able to supply crickets though :-)
thanks a million for going through the hassle of getting a video of it. the idle is a tad high, but maybe runs better this way. I'm getting the gist of the sound though

Your welcome.

No crickets there huh? LOL..

Whats a single POT?

It really does like to idle at about 800 RPM. Thats where it is most of the time. For some reason when its cold and I tap the pedal to disengage the fast idle, it goes down to about 650 RPM. When I warms up it idles at 800.
