hiya tx65coupe,

mufflers still in the trunk. We had the cuda just finished two nights before we wanted to drive to show. Engine started perfectly, but all the internals are out of balance. shaking mad as soon as the revs start climbing. story was the the old crank (car was driven to ireland for a couple of 100 miles) developed a knocking, we checked and the conrod bearings as well as main bearings were screwed. some of them bad. we sent the crank to original owner who wanted to bring it to grinding down (20 over) and send it back with bearings. well all fitted well but no balance ... so car is sitting now while my buddy makes new plans. wasted a good few nights for nothing.

Man, I hate when you spend time thinking its making progress just to find out later than it was a waste of time. Sorry to hear that its not running right now.

na. worse. I have them in my garage now. new in box ... was busy with the shelby drop. in 2 weeks I'll get my vintage V50 wheels. and i'm about to order a new driveshaft in the UK to sort out my vibration.
TexasAxMan sent me the moldings fro dashpad at windscreen. And I have them in the box. Just taken them out, admirde them and didn't get to do anything else :-(

That sucks. At least you have some cool stuff to look forward too though. I can't wait to see those wheels.

ya. the nice thing with the wheels is I can just go to a shope and say, please change the tyres to the new ones, balance. walk out 20 euro lighter and job done :-) no work involved here :-) with the windshied trim it's the matter of cleanup and find the proper color. will definetely do that on a slow day. but the exhaust is going to be a big job. probably re-doing all exhaust from header back stainless. so that's gonna take a while and the welder is stiull up the fritz i think

well we got the Cuda going ... since you asked. mighty, but fuel pressure was at 10 psi so couldn't get tjhe carb right. changed the faulty regulator after the video. A hell of a lot better now ... I plan to swap the mufflers sometime in march. I have stainless headers, so I'll change the full exhaust over then. Maybe move from H-crossover to X.

I'm glad the Cuda is running. Thats awesome. What mufflers does it have?

I would keep the H pipe, the X is too exotic sounding. What headers did you get?

headers went already in when I bought them. bad fitting, very low long tube hooker supercomps, stainless. anyway :-) they won't rust :-)
Cuda only needs a cable for the transmission shifter, then she should be good to go. I'm not sure about the mufflers, I'll check next time. I am very certain they are dynomax and there's a good chance they're the ultraflo welded as well
