Underdash Air Conditioning Unit Blocks Glovebox Insert???
I'm trying to install a new glove box liner, but when I get it in through the opening it seems to be partially blocked by an underdash air conditioning unit. I have recently purchased the car, so I don't know if this unit is stock, but have a feeling it may not be. Can anyone provide assistance or a picture of their underdash unit so I can compare??? Is this normal even with the stock set-up?
Thanks

the early mustangts glovebox inster is made out of cardboard. You have two options
a) remove everything under dash that's in the way (that should be the heater box itself), or
b) fold the cardboard (that's what the perforated lines are for to shove it in from the front (that's what I did and am happy with).

Thanks for the reply Kali. I was able to get the liner in the hole, but could seem to get it far enough back to line up with holes and look right. It was hitting the AC Evaporator. Here is a link to pics. Maybe someone can help ID the AC Unit?
Thanks

That is an aftermarket system, appears to be a vintage air, but can't tell from the photos. What I can see is that the heater box and a/c were replaced with a single, dual purpose unit. When I installed my vintage air system in the coupe, it came with a smaller (shallow) glove box made out of hard plastic. It is smaller because the evaporator is larger than the original heater box.
You should be able to buy one of the hard plastic glove box inserts from vintage air.
