Angry Horns Died

Horns stopped working. Checked fuses, wiring, grounds, etc., can't figure it out. I found that when I turn the ignition switch to the right to the first stop position just before you engage the starter, push in and hold the horn ring, then turn the ignition off the horns blow for a split second. ????????

Anything else not working? You might have an ignition switch problem.

Everything else working fine. Guess I'll have to pull the ignition and check it out.

just to make sure, disconnect the wire on both of them, and run a temporary wire from battery+ to each of the horns contact (where the blue/yellow wire was). they should both go once you touch it. reconnect. from the horns they should go to the firewall to a 4 pin connector. check there and clean. from there it should go inside the car to the directional signal switch. I checked on the wiring diagram, but either the horn button switch is missing in the diagram or i'm blind ?!

Got it fixed before I read your response. Printed your response out and put it in my Things To Know file. Appreciate it! All I did was tighten the ignition switch in the bezel and the horns worked fine. Is the ignition switch grounded to the dash in the bezel?

No.

The horn circuit has full-time power to the switch in the wheel. When the wheel switch provides power to the horns, which themselves provide the ground for the circuit.
