I am at a loss.... I am wiring up a 1973 mustang with a tach and gauges
and a 4 speed toploader and the wiring diagrams I have show nothing about the tach and gauges. the area in question is at the starter relay, I know it is wired different than without the tach but I dont know how. Can someone send a picture of theie relay and regulator wiring or a diagram whould be great.

 

i don't know why the starter relay would be wired differently with tach or without tach

what I am having a problem what to hook the wires to that come from the original wiring harness from the fuses to the solenoid. and the alternator harnes to the solenoid

 

really don't get it. there's only the cables at the selonoid that i pictured. no more, no less. has nothing to do with the alternator harness. although you probably could connect the contsant battery+ on one side of selonoid instead of battery+

but i think you're looking for a complete wiring diagram (of which there are plenty) ... ?!

 

I have the complete wiring diagram for a 73 with a 351c... but there are extra wires when the tach is involved that are not shown in the diagram...diagram only shows idiot lights, not gauges
