Maaco can do amazing work. Each shop is different, ask to see there work first to verify they actualy have talent on the staff. Build a rapport with the manager/owner. Like anything else you get what you pay for. Specify what supplies you want them to use and for $2k you can get a paint job that would run you $6k anywhere else. Most shops do take pride in their work as do most painters. Give them a cool car and a reasonable budget and they will do great work.

Remember, they take a bad rap for $300 single stage paint jobs...but what do you expect to get for $300???? Hell, you should spend double that on clear alone.

hmm great idea bout the primer and doin it myself, anyone have any recommendation for sprayer? i already have the compressor and hose just need the sprayer. everyone agree that the john deere blitz black is good stuff?
