Question Replacing Lower Cowl Panel

I want to replace the lower cowl panel in my 68. Other than the panel itself, what other parts would I need and what steps need to be followed to remove and install? I have the original fresh air vent assembly. Also, I noticed there are repair panels for these cowls. Is that something that has to be welded on after the bad part is cut out? Can't see repairing it - looks like an entire cowl panel would be better and easier to do. The only bad place in mine is where the fresh air vent was located.

you gotta pull the glass and all the vent stuff attached to the cowl panel...its a lot of drilling spot welds to remove the upper panel the lower will need to be cut out and the new stuff welded in some people use panel bonding adhesive for the install but its all up to you

If it's just the left side, you can get away with a partial panel. But after drilling all those spotwelds, I'd suggest a full panel with a good dose of paint.
