Default Windsheild Trim

Hey guys (and gals) what is the proper way to remove the windshield, and back window glass trim without destroying it? Any secrets or tips to removing it without bending? It's in pretty good shape and I would like to reuse it if at all possible.

The trim removal tool hooks under the retaining clips and you can slowly raise the moulding out of the channel, one clip at a time. I like to use this tool:
