Default Engine vin number help

Can someone help me out with what the vin means on this block?

Its either a 302 or 289. I believe its "3K102151" and it had a 2v intake in it.

Thanks

That's probably the engine from a Falcon, Comet, Fairlane, Meteor, Maverick etc. from the Kansas City Assembly plant, in 1973.

Thanks, that makes sense I thought the 3 was for "73". The bell housing was from a falcon.

Nahh. No date in a VIN. The engine stamp was a partial VIN, they left out the bodystyle code and engine code.
