Where do i find a Blower?

Roots were big in the marine industry sitting on top of 572 cu in motors. The big deal now are the twin screws from Whipple. Generates less heat when compressing. Looks really cool when they do quad rotors. Lysolm actually makes the blowers. Motor in the top pic is $55K, the bottom picture is $70K

A lot of early diesels used a blower and a turbo a 671 was the most common blower used on them.

Per a recent issue of Hot Rod or Car Craft, many of the old 6-71's on diesels were for scavenging, not for pressurization. Apparently, if you have one of the old beasts used on diesels, there's a ton that has to be done to them to use them to make positive boost.

I had no knowledge of this, so the above is a good as Hot Rod / Car Craft - which may not be saying much.

Interesting though.

To covert it over you basicly build a new blower just reuse the hosing off it.But i never used a used blower never trusted them.

Vortech or Procharger. Fits under the hood.
