Default 66' wont run

hey, im new to these forums.. but here goes.

i have a 1966 convertible with a 200ci inline 6

it sits in my garage and comes out every weekend, except this one.

the battery was initially dead, so i charged it. when i turn the key the motor cranks but wont start.

things ive checked:

carb: cleaned and inspected. looks good.
spark plugs: replaced.
distributer: tested, good.
compression: good.

im running out of ideas.. any thoughts and input would be greatly appreciated.

Check all your fuses, sounds like a fuse problem.

Fuel and spark. You say you tested the distributer does that mean you have spark? You cleaned the carb, is it getting fuel?

+1. check if you are getting spark. if you do then you're probably not getting fuel.
check quickly with aircleaner off and choke butterfly open (hold open):
- accellerate once fully (you can use the throttle linkage at carb). you should see fuel squirting into the carb when you do that

If you are sure you have fuel and spark; Position #1 at TDC and verify timing is close.

I would try a couple shots of starting fluid first; some people don't like starting fluid.
