Default Package Tray Color

This could just be a matter of personal preference, but could someone tell me what color the package tray was supposed to be in a car with a blue interior? The seats are a dark blue, as well as the door panels and dashpad. I'm looking to install a vinyl package tray, however there are 2 color choices one that is lighter blue and one that appears to be similar to the seat color.

The old tray was some POS fiberboard that wasn't painted. I'm not doing a concours resto, but want it to look factory in appearance and am trying to determine if the seat color carried over to the package tray.

The package tray is supposed to be a Masonite fiberboard with the textured side "up". I sits on top of a layer of jute sound deadener. It should be painted the same color as the interior, in your case 1965 interior medium blue. An unpainted "show correct" tray might be mistaken for the "POS" you describe. The vinyl-covered cardboard package tray is actually incorrect, which is OK if you want to save $10.
