chassis support? suspension?
hmm you move the wheel just a little and it shoots off. normally when the steering is shot if you move thsteering just a little it does nothing. My advice would be to replace the front suspendion with laurel mountain kit and add roller spring perches. Add the shelby drop at no cost. Then if your steering needs help just rebuild the stock steering box.
Laurel mountain front rebuild kit - ~ $250
roller spring perches - ~ $175

Describes my situation too perfectly.
I agree with 2+2GT on the shelby drop. Its a relatively simple and easy mod, from what I hear, and won't put a dent in your pocket. While you're at it with everything torn down, you could freshen things up a bit if needed. That's what I'm most likely going to do, if I quit dreaming of a custom IFS.

As far as sub frame connectors go, I already have a set in there... But I already am noticing cracks on the c-pillars... Anyone have any other ideas how to stiffen the frame some more? Any recommendations for bolt on or weld ins like maybe cross braces between the sub frame connectors? Sorry to hijack the thread, but I figured I was in a similar situation...
To the OP- I think the bump steer you seem to be experiencing may be corrected by a bump steer corrector kit to correct the steering geometry. I plan on the Laurel Mt. kit and the roller perches in the near future as well as possibly the bump steer kit.

Your front suspension is likely badly out of alignment or you have broken/worn components if the car "shoots" off to either side based on small steering inputs.
"They" say that those air shocks can ruin your car by punching through the upper shock mounts. I've never run them and don't know if it's true, but I'd ditch them regardless and get the right springs and real shocks.
Before you spend any real money on the suspension - spend $50 and several hours of study on two books and learn what really makes your car handle. You will save so much money in the long run.
