Best bang for the buck? All relative. Here is what I'm doing https://mustangforums.com/forum/clas...edstang-9.html To me, this is the best bang for the buck. How much you want to spend?

what kind of budget? The play in your steering is a diff subject than suspension. Lots of diff options give us an idea of budget first. For subframe connecters there are many options I made my own version of tinman fabrications.

First off, the steering was tight when new. Likely it just needs proper adjusting, as per the Ford Service Manual. Don't just start tightening things, that can easily destroy the gearbox.

Second, for better handling at little cost, do this:

Arning/Shelby Suspension Drop

There are many direct bolt in upgrades you can do to complete suspension overhaul which require a complete tear down of the front end. That all depends on what you want. A 1"" sway bar is a quick and easy upgrade and, as 2+2GT mentioned, the shelby drop. There are subframe connectors you can install which bolt in or weld in if you can. There are bolt in rack and pinion setups that can improve steering. Just research what you want and then decide how much you want to spend. Shocks, coil overs, roller perches, springs, tubular arms, disc brakes, etc. the list can go on and on.

You really need to throw out a budget number. What is reasonable to one is very costly to another.

To get what you need, again very relative. For a daily driver I'm replacing the suspension with coil overs. Some say it's not needed, I say it is.

i really just want to get rid of the sensitivity in the steering. thats my main concern for now. i have new gas shocks in the front and the guy i got the car from put air shocks in the rear. it rides good. the annoying thing is i can move the wheel just a little and the car shoots off to whatever side i turn the wheel. ive been told its my suspension thats causing that.
