NoReins is dead on. She recommended me to SPI and I'm very thankful. I started a topic on primers, and it went back and forth on lots of primer choices. I've finally decided on SPI after giving them a call. The call was what sold me.
Before I go on, as someone mentioned, check the "sprayable" amount. SPIs 1 gallon kit is a 1 to 1 mix of primer to hardener, meaning its easy to mix and more importantly, you get 2 gallons of sprayable epoxy primer out of the 1 gallon kit. Also to note, the price is a shipped price, so that's a nice extra.

Also worthy of mentioning, the folks at SPI are great people. I didn't know why they got so much praise until I called. Went straight to a rep who was very knowledgable and friendly. Not some phone jockey with the whole "let me transfer you" crap. I told him exactly what I had and what I needed to do. He immediately recommended the 1 gallon kit and answered several of my other questions with ease. Also, he got me lined up with a possible dealer so I could pick up the paint should I choose. And after giving me the local paint dealer's info he said, and I quote, "If they can't get you what you need, give me a call back and I'll take care of ya."

I dunno, maybe I'm making a bigger deal of this than I should, but these days, service like that from a retailer seems far and few between. I know the folks at Eastwood might know a lot, but it's not exactly their specialty. In the end, SPI is a cool specialty shop with good pricing and excellent customer relations, that'll get my vote every time.

(Apologies for the long read, I'm in some sort of essay writing mood tonight... haha)

It's a very big deal, service is EVERYTHING. Think not, wait until you have a problem and need service. I buy on service more than price all the time.

Congrats! I think you'll be pleased.

As far as the aircraft remover, that is what we're talking about but get the aerosol cans. Trust me, you don't wanna mess around with spreading that stuff and getting it on your skin. Plus the aerosol will stick to vertical surfaces a whole lot better.

Just watch the temps when shooting epoxy, make sure it doesn't get too cold.
