I thought I'd double check with all the experience in this forum.
A 1969 Mustang 351w 4 barrel , did it come with a c4 transmission.
Is the tranny marked somewhere I can check?
Thanks
It could have a C4 or an FMX. Easy to tell:
C4 - All aluminum removeable bell
FMX - cast iron case aluminum removeable bell
C6 - all aluminum no removeable bell
All 69-70 351-equipped Mustangs had the FMX. 71-73 typically had an FMX on 351C 2V engines, and the C6 on 351C 4V engines, although exceptions have been noted.
