Default 67 GT FASTBACK DECALS & STRIPES

Hi All,
I wonder if you could help me? I have bought a 67 gt fastback with marti report. The report states that the car was ordered black with red paint stripe. I emailed Keving Marti asking where excactly does the stripe go. His response was..."Its the stripe that goes along the beltline from the top edge of the fenders to the back of the quarter panels..." However I've never seen a mustang with a stripe along the beltline. Have you seen it before? I don't think it's the same as a GT line along the car under the door! Any comments or pictures would help heaps!!!

Default GTA stripes

According to my sources, the GTA strips were under the doors only. I hope this helps. Where did you find the 67 GTA?

Yes, that's correct...all GT's and GTA's have stripes under the door. I found out today from Kevin Marti that the stripe i'm talking about runs on top of front fender/door/rear qtr panel. It's only 3/32" (2.38mm) wide. It's very rare to see it on the car. I'm in Australia and found the car at a local guy. He's got a 66 shelby gt 350 and had this restored GTA fastback as his run around car. Not bad for a run around car. He imported it from flemmings ultimate garage. I was lucky enough to get it of him.

Pay attention, people. He's talking about the rare painted accent stripe that goes along the top edge, or beltline, of the car, and was optional on any Mustang, whether it was a GT or not.

Yes it's a rare factory ordered stripe, that's why many people han't seen it or heard about it. I've only come accross two photos on the internet, but never seen it live on a car. Therefore, not sure if it's a vinyl strip or it gets a clear coat over it.

Cute. I meant pay attention to the OP, who described the stripe very well, yet everybody started talking about the GT lower body stripe.

I emailed Keving Marti asking where excactly does the stripe go. His response was..."Its the stripe that goes along the beltline from the top edge of the fenders to the back of the quarter panels..." However I've never seen a mustang with a stripe along the beltline.

It's painted, and nobody used clear back then.
