Default Is this a "Pony Carb?"

This a photo of a "Vaporizer" Autolite 1100 carb from Pony Carburator:

These are photo's from a guy nearby selling a Autolite 1100. He says it look more like a brand new carb than a remanufactured carb. He is selling it for $100:

Do you think this could be a "Vaporizer" carb from Pony Carb?

The only way I know to tell is if the carb has a standard, or annular discharge. The original is standard, the PC has the annular discharge.

Do you know if Pony places some kind of marking on it when they rebuild it?

A rebuilt PC carb is an original Autolite carb, rebuilt to look like new. The "Vaporizer" is a completely new carburator, newly manufactured, with certain upgrades, like the annular discharge.

You are aware that that carb is not for California car which has both centrifugal and vac advance on the distributor. (the thing that looks like a power valve on the side is a vac spark control bleed valve) see MM Feb11 issue for more info

So you are saying that this distributor:

Is NOT made or compatible with this carburetor:

And if I did order a Pony Carb "Vaporizer" and they sent me this:

...it would be wrong for my car?

I do see that my old carb does not have the "vent actuating lever" or the "vent valve rod" and my new one does. Are both these carbs made for a 1965 Mustang with an I6 200ci motor. Is it better to have the vent valve rod, or better off without it?

What does the vent actuating lever and vent valve rod do?

Thanks for you help.
