Ordered a new carb
My brother is running one of those carbs on his warmed up 302..It seems to work pretty good for a driver..He does complain about the choke coming on way too much so I am not sure what is up with that..It may just need adjusting.
Well this isn't my first rodeo with electric/mechanical fuel pumps and I strongly prefer the electric option.
Taking out the mechanical pump and installing the electric pump at the tank allows for one single line running up the block. A nice chrome pump blockoff plate will help clean up that area.
The electric fuel pump allows for consistant starts. My car is not a daily driver so sits a while between starts. Everytime its a PITA to crank and crank.
I'm thrilled with the only other 2 mods I've done this winter, the 2 way alarm/keyless entry and sequential LED tails. Both are functional and have a cool factor.
I'm very interisted to see what this carb can do. I was planning to rebuild the Edelbrock but for that price I'll give it a shot. I'll let you know the quality and performance. I plan to convert to the Performance Products FI system, but its not going to fly with the wife. She just found out how much I have into the car and that went over like a fart in church.

that being said, I've nevr had any issues with the car starting for me. Cranks over the first time every time.
