Default Door glass

This post is not ment to be helpfull or productive but is a rant I'm sure is shared with anyone who has removed all door components of a classic Mustang.

What a PITA. I pulled all of this stuff apart a year and a half ago and spent Sunday trying to remember how it all goes back together. Rear quarter windows/regulators, front windows, regulators and track and the front vent window assembly's and all the seals, runs and felts. NOT FUN Then getting it all to line up with new (stiff) door and window seals only adds to the FU-n.

The good news, I'm 90% back in business. I just had to walk away once I got to the last window, the passanger window regulator would not slide into the glass track. She didnt want to play ball and I didnt want to start throwing things so its another project for another day.

On a side note, I got the new summit carb and its a very nice peice. Well built with a great layout and it looks killer with the new ball milled oval air filter setup.

Got the first Mustang cruise in my area on May 1st (with members from this forum) and I cant wait to pull her out!

The body assembly manual takes the drama out of putting doors together.

Let us know how that carb works out. I for one have been reading up on them.

I think JamesW has a page on that somewhere. I used to have it bookmarked, but had to wipe my hard drive to get rid of a virus and lost the link. Check his site though.

I found that the easiest way to get the regulator back into the track is to dettach it, slide it into the track, and then reattach the regulator to the stud with the small clip.

I know this is off topic....but op how did you wire up that HEI dist? I noticed on mine it says "bat" and "tach" but do I need a new wire or an existing one?

back on topic: I'm having the same problem with that crap, both rears are loose the passenger is good and the driver isn't in the door...not looking forward to that.
