Sounds like things are coming together for you..I would do some research before you start porting the heads..You can remove too much material and easily screw them up..A little research as to where to remove it and how much will assure they will work properly when you are done..The clevelands already come with pretty large ports so you will probably just want to remove any humps in the exhaust and smooth things out...I am sure there must be lots of info on this on the web somewhere..

that's not too much of a surprise, must've sheared some metal somewhere inside the engine.

hey everyone!! im back at it this year.. sorry last time i ran out of money and had to put the build on hault for a little while so i could get some money. so now my question is... The rebuild kit i need for my engine is a bit confusing =/ im ordering from northern auto parts dot com and im confused as to what i need.. theres so many categories for the 351w and im not sure which one is for mine. like i said its out of a 90's van... Anyone know what i should get? im looking for a mean sounding v8 with some good power. i have so many plans for this restore i want the engine to just top it all off! thanks in advanced
