Default Steering Box Fluid/Grease

Hey everyone, I just got my steering box rebuilt and was told to fill it up with gear oil as its lubricant. However, I read somewhere online that gear oil is not recommended for steering gear boxes.

What oil or grease should I use? Is 80w/90 gear oil that I have fine? Use a moly based grease such as what is used in the ball joints? others?

I don't want to mess anything up with my rebuilt box so any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Nevermind, I finally found a page that answered everything for me. Basically I just need a moly based grease which is no problem, I've got a grease gun and everything.

Here's the page with a ton of info on steering box lubrication for those interested

Yeah, you put gear oil in it and it'll leak out the bottom and probably mess up the seals.
