Default Bellhousing

Ok so I am looking for a bellhousing for my 302 swap. I've been looking for a 60s mustang bellhousing so I can use my T5 adapter, but they all are over what I want to pay. So if I bought a fox body bellhousing could I swap out the clutch fork with one from a stock 67 and use it that way? I'm sticking with z-bar clutch setup, so I need something compatible with it.

Sure- There's a fulcrum spacer block made to adapt the Fox T5 bell to work with your release lever.

Ok so does anyone have pictures of where that attaches to the bellhousing? Also how does the clutch fork stay on it?

Lots of great info here on the swap..It shows you on this page where the little metal block goes....The fork has a spring clip on the back that goes through the hole in the fulcrum and keeps it in place..

Awesome thanks! I hope to get it running next weekend

I ordered about $530 in parts today, that should have been all I needed to finish it up.

So is the bellhousing spacer plate necessary? I've got one on order and it ended up being on backorder for another 2 weeks. I want to get my engine done next week, so if its not needed I was going to cancel my order for it.

If you have the T5 bell, you don't need the spacer plate. Just the fulcrum adapter.

Oh, that's a "rear engine cover", and you definitely need it.
