'66 GT is it worth it?
HO does mean High output, HP does not mean High performance to everyone in the world but 2+2.
Every one in the world knows that HP means Horse power except for 2+2.

I could go on but .
2+2 has got to be a Democrate, a stupid Dem.

Please dont missquote me. I said the only way the car is worth that much is if it has won in concours class. Change anything (like the cut to the floor to fit the T-5 shifter) and its not worth what a body put into it and that would be money that could have been more wisely spent. I am not a purist when it comes to mustangs but i do have sense enough to know what is wisely spent money.
I see no misquote in my book. (but maybe I'm reading from a book that shows the bigger picture).
Calling someone "a fool of the highest order" would be reserved to someone who put all their life savings in Bernie Maidoff's ponzie scheme, or someone who invested everything in Enron stock before the collapse,
not someone who paid a few thousand extra to have a nice car, modified the way they want it. There are millions of people who have spent way more on their car than it's worth now, so what's the difference? You could be calling almost everyone who bought a new car a fool. In reality, most folks
who buy new cars can afford the extra expense to have a nice car that they don't have to spend alot of time fixing. Their time is worth more than the extra money they spent.

Rat fink - 2011 Ford Mustang
2+2GT - 66 Mustang 2+2GT
Who would you really go to as a source for 1st generation Mustang info? It's obvious Rat fink is in the wrong section of this forum.
Go back and take a look at post #22. Those pictures tell you exactly what 289 HP mean. 289 HP definitely didn't mean 289 horsepower, as no such motor was produced.

What i got from this post is that 2+2 is not a dem which I'm very happy to learn. The HP thing always confused me so I'm glad to get that straight. I do know what an FNG is as most military guys do so you might want to tread a little easier there Rat Fink, FNG.
I disagree with 2+2 all the time. I don't think I've ever needed to call him names though
and we manage to get along somewhat civilly
What's important is that if you make a point and it is challenged defend it with facts and not emotion so everyone can understand how an opinion was formed and then everyone learns a new way to look at something.
For the record I read 289 HP and see 289 Horse Power because of all the chevy guys where the chevy motor cubic inches has magically become the HP they all had (like the might 350 horse mouse block
)I've only ever referred to the 289 as a 289...or as a 289 HiPo.
