Default 351C

hey everyone im back with a quick little question.
this shouldnt be a challenge for you guys but im not sure if the 351c in my mustang is a 2v or a 4v. i have one 4v engine in a 70 fairlane 500 and it has an edelbrock torker intake on it and the engine in my mustang has a 2bbl intake on it and i dont know if it came that way or if it was a change. any and all input appreciated

If it looks like the stock intake on the 2V engine, than it was the original most likely.

Check the VIN to see what it came with originally.

The easiest way to tell if the 351C is 2v or 4v, is to look at the corner of the head, it should have a 2 or a 4 on it. But as was said earlier if the 2 bbl intake looks original it probably is. Not too many people would spend the money to go from a 4 bbl to a 2 bbl or replace a 2bbl with another to gain performance, figuring if they are going to replace the intake they might as well go to a 4bbl.

But the VIN is also a great way to determin also.

A 70 Mustang would have had an engine code of H - 351C 2bbl, M - 351C 4bbl It should be the fifth alpha-numeric character in your VIN
