Who makes repro steering columns?
Now that my suspensions is working and my steering box has been converted over to a Borgeson integrated power box, I am noticing how much slack there is in my tilt steering column. I can wiggle the steering wheel 1/8 turn and never move the steering shaft. The slack has to be in the tilt mechanism. Can those be rebuilt and/or tightened up? Does anyone rebuild them? Who make reproduction columns? I am not crazy about a shiny Flaming River column in my car. Do IDIDIT columns match exactly to stock columns?
Thanks!

No one make repro steering columns. And frankly, I don't see how the Til-Away mechanism can be at fault. If the teeth on your tilt are giving you 1/8 turn of play, then 80% of the teeth are worn away, and you should stop driving the car immediately.
If a polished aftermarket column offends you, sand it and paint it.
You sure you don't have a rag joint problem?

Brand new rag joint. Have had the same slack in the the steering with three different steering boxes over the past 4 years (manual, OEM PS, and now Borgeson PS). It just has to be inside the column. The angle of the tilt has no affect on the slack.
Talk to http://www.perogie.com/index.html i think he rebuilds them or http://www.mustangbarn.com/ one of them should be it.
