Default going rate

how much do you think a body shop should charge for welding on a quarter panel on a 66 coupe? just the cutting off and welding. no bodywork or cost of the quarter included. thanks.

ok, this makes sense. this is a job that is paid by the hour. at lunch today someone said i should be able to get someone to come by my house and do it. thanks all. i'll keep this in mind for this summer if the opportunity presents itself.

Really depends on the shop, possibly even more than the hours involved. Get a crappy shop and they might have a high hourly rate and drag the process out...
