Attn: Crate Engine M-6007-x302 Users
Hi:
Has anyone used the new Ford Crate Engine M-6007-x302 in their cars? If so, how did it work out? Were there any problems/downsides?
Thanks!

Since Ford Racing has no way of knowing what trans, driveshaft, axle ratio, tires, etc., you plan to use, there's no way they could rate the engines other than by engine dyno power at the flywheel. And of course they aren't going to hang fans, power steering, or AC on the engine, either, since any or all of this may not apply to the purchaser.

I put the crate motor in my car about 13 years ago now. I think it would be easier now as this has been done more and more over the years. I started with a Ford Racing GT40 motor with Iron GT40 heads. Over the years added Trick Flow Aluminum heads and
1.7 RR's and now have about 13-15,000 miles on the motor and it still runs strong with no problems at all. So I have to say I've been very happy with the motor.
