how do I remove my ignition switch?

Default how do I remove my ignition switch?

Any help appreciated! The car is a 66. Thanks!

Too easy. Insert the key. Turn to ACC. Insert the tip of a paper clip in the little hole. Turn one more click to the left. Slide the cylinder out. Grasp the switch, press toward the bezel, and twist (in the manner of the light bulbs) and remove from the back of the bezel.

You would be very wrong. The flange around the edge of this:



Cannot be pulled backward through this:

You've never actually worked on a 66 ignition switch, have you.

As for betting my life, I already bet it on your behalf, on active duty in the US Navy. Now retired.
