how do I remove my ignition switch?

Hey, you called me out on this one. I gave the OP correct advice. You chimed in and said I was wrong. I've prob'ly done this procedure better part of a hundred times, several times within the last year.

I don't know everything, that much is certain. Ever notice I don't post on paint threads? When it comes to paint, I ask the experts I know, and do what they tell me.

I said "I don't believe you have to remove this." that's hardly calling you out.
Then I asked you
"Your telling me you have to take this out, to get this out" all you had to do is say yes, I would have believed you. I bet your sailors loved getting up in the morning just hoping to see you.

Thanks for the advice, I was able to successfully get it out. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Your directions directions were right on. Thanks again!
