An alignment without a thorough inspection of all the front end parts is a waste of time and money. On a car that age something is bound to be worn out. For no more than it cost for a complete front end rebuild kit I would advise rebuilding the whole thing. Piece of mind is a wonderful thing.

Do you recall what your car's cambers were set to? I don't seem to have the suggested numbers handy.

Assuming that the steering & suspension is in good overall condition, it's only a drawback if you don't consistently drive hard enough to benefit from it. IOW, if you don't corner hard, you most probably will wear the insides slightly to somewhat faster depending on your driving and the specific setting. If you do more hard braking than hard cornering, you would most likely benefit from a less aggressive camber setting than somebody who corners harder on a regular basis (don't forget to reset the toe).

There's a bit more to it, but when you have a significant amount of negative camber set, you pretty much have to keep leaning on it a bit harder than most folks through the corners to get the cornering wear off the inside portion of the tire.

The toe setting will be quite important,

Norm

frdnut and norm hit it on the nose, the toe is about 2.2* off the caster and camber are acceptable at -1.2* the guy said the UCA bushings were shot so no point changing caster and camber and he could get some sleeve off to adjust toe, i guess thats what i get for going to tires plus.....i got a 2 wheel rotation for now. i was wondering what i wuld need to replace inorder to adjust toe. the guy quoted me 300$ for parts+labor i thought if i could find the parts cheaper then....
