Default Biggest Engine for a 69/70

I don't own one, but would like to in the future, so im just dreaming right now.

But what's the biggest engine you can stuff in a 69/70 mach 1?
I know there's a 429, but as anyone done anything larger?

The 385 block is the biggest the 429/460.But if you got the cash they sell a aftermarket block for it and a 806 ci stroker. But a 557 with good heads will be a monster in a street car.

The FE(390/428) and the 429/460 are about as big physically as you can fit....The boss 429 and the newer style modular motors will fit if you modify the shock towers..
