Default Find "Ethanol-Free" Gas Stations off this site

Thought I would share this site with you. You can look up Ethanol-free gas stations in your area (or how far one is from you) if you prefer to fill up with out ethanol. Considering all the gas stations around the US, kind of puts in perspective how many DO have ethanol.

Most of the non-ethanol gas stations are out in the boonies, away from populated areas or in less populated areas (at least here in AZ).

Is this thread inferring that my older car should run better on pure gas? Does anyone use lead additives?

no its inferring that we would all get about 20% better fuel mileage on pure gas as well as your car running better. I dont think many of us use lead.

My 97 5.0 Mountaineer gets about 10% better mileage on real gasoline.

Lead additives are not worth the money. At $6 per fill-up, if you buy gas once a week, you'll spend enough money in a couple years to have the heads rebuilt, if it's a driver. Of course, that's about 13k per year. Even with no lead, you should get over 100,000 with no lead. Amoco gas was sold for over 100 years with no lead. Never heard about it "ruining" engines.

If your car is not a daily driver, the valves will never wear out.

I'll be running 100% gas when I start my motor post rebuild, good to see there is another site, I've been using the puregas one. 6 stations within 5 miles of my house luckily. I've put it in my mower and it runs much better, no more surging.

Congress is working on eliminating the ethanol subsidy. Even Al Gore has said it was a mistake for him to break the tie and approve the law. If the subsidy dies, ethanol/gas will disappear quickly, because it cannot compete with the cost of pure gas, not even close.

Maybe then the cost of corn flakes will go down, too.

^That would be nice, because they had talk (for awhile) about changing it to E20 or E25 from E10, which newer cars could handle, but nothing older than around 10-15 years old could.
