Default Radio woes

So i was cleaning up my 67 today and the radio wiring was hanging all over the place so i taped them up and stuck em behind the radio, i go for a drive and the radio wont work. for whatever reason i cant find which wire i used as a 12v switch (only when ignition is on) so what do you guys usually use as a 12v switch source? i was thinking the seatbelt light but i wasnt sure it would work.

any suggestion?

Here is a link to the wiring diagram you need. Why not just use the wire designed for the radio?

Look at wire 297 coming off of the rear post on the ignition switch, that should be switched power. You'll notice in the diagram legend, that wire 297 is Black with a Green stripe. That post was/is used to supply power to the optional A/C and the wiper motor. You should have a fuse between that post and your radio, just fyi.

Hope this helps.
