Default Creaky Bushings?

The weathers getting hotter here and the front end is beginning to creak a lot as it gets hotter. I can literally push down on either front fender just above the wheel and hear the creaking. Is the problem the strut rod bushings have worn out and they need replacing?

Basically, anything that moves in the front suspension could be the cause of the creaking.

When was the last time you did a lube job?

Your coil springs could have worn through their bushings and are grating on the saddle.

Could have noisy tie rod ends, but they are not usually noisy, they just fail at the worst possible time, tossing you and your car into the ditch. Hope that doesn't sound too fatalistic. I am prepping for a test, so I am kinda morose.

Odds are you just need to do a lube. You might need new grease fittings, which are easy to find at Napa.

At least 90% of the time the creaking is the pivot shafts on the upper control arms. Time to grease them. If there are no zerk fittings, get the ones made especially for Mustang upper control arms.

my sway bar bushings would squeak like crazy every time the front suspension moved. They were polyurethane bushing

+1 sway bar. Use anti seize , its silver in color and it gets on everything but does a good job on squeaky bushings.

The best way to find your squeak is process of elimination. I would lube everything individually. Lube one part and see if it goes away, if it is still there move on to the next component. I would start with the sway bar links.

Looks like a lube and process of elimination is the way to go, however it has done this before after a lube job.

I just wanted to be clear about this issue, it only occurs when it gets hot outside and I've been driving the car in the heat for at least an hour or so and then it starts creaking and getting worse as it gets hotter. It does not creak during cool weather at all.
