okay, i'm convinced now, but the the next step is off course, to find one. checked summit and such, but they sell all kinds of stuff for cooling upgrades except fan shrouds. any suggestions? on the other hand, what i did see where fan spacers to get the fan closer to the rad, wich seems useful seeing that my fan is at least 1 3/4" to 2" behind the rad, thus sucking a lot of air from beside the rad towards the engine. maybe that and a milodon high performance waterpump? still, if you can let me know where to find a fan shroud (please keep in mind that this is retarded belgium, no stangs or torino's in junkyards here) i'll gladly take your advice on that first....

thx in advance again guys

right, i see i said something wrong about summit. i checked the catalogue that they send me and it wasn't in there, but now i checked the website and they do have all sorts of shrouds, be it all universal ones...

my bad

but any suggestions on wich one to go for, or things to look for installationwise?

thx

Here you go: http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/key...roud&x=10&y=13

I would guess that any of the Mustang parts suppliers would have this also.

okidoki, ordered and on its way. had to get one for a 70 though, since it's the only one they had one for without ac and 24 inch rad. still, picture looks the part since it has the right provision for rad hoses and such. hope that solves the problem now. thx guys

does the fan shroud redirect the air directly to the radiator. i am reabuilding my whole cooling system from the begining so i have no problems. this weekend i am going to replace the water pump, thermostat/ housing, get radiator fixed, and all hoses. Im getting a flex-a-lite fan and shroud. I like having mustangs unlimited within 15 minutes of your house.

Hey, I have my stock 289 with a 3 row rad and it cools fine (even though I live in tucson AZ). My question is that when I start upgradeing how much should I expect my rad to cool before I need to get a fan shroud or aluminum rad?
