Default Choke Tube Problem

The choke tube on my 1966 289 mustang fits in the exhaust manifold very loose. Is there someting I can use to seal it, glue it or make it fit snug?

It is a new set. When I drilled out the old one in the exhaust manifold I made the hole to large.

Pull the manifold, weld the holes and redrill them, or replace the manifold. The hole should be 1/4 inch.

i wouldn't bother. it's just picking up warm air there . try a metal tube that fits in manifold and original choke goes in there. The tubing is metal under the sleeve, so even if the hole is too big you can bend it in there and it will stay
if you have headers instead of manifold people just wrap the tube around one of the header pipes.
sole purpose of this tube is to pick up hot air. nothing else

The fit is not that critical. Unless it's ratting or falling out, its best to leave it alone or a little high temp epoxy should do the trick.

FYI- the last time i spoke with a machine shop, cast iron manifolds won't take a weld.
